A Man Lay Dead introduces Chief Detective Inspector Alleyn. The story is set in a country house party setting, where a version of the Murder Game is being played. Unfortunately when the lights go up a real corpse is discovered. Marsh’s writing is very fine and her characterisation is excellent, making this a must for any crime collection.

Condition of book:

The book is in very good condition. There is very little shelf wear and no reading creases on the spine. There is a crossed out signature on the first inside page. The binding is sound and there are no loose or missing pages.
