The fifteenth book in the series. Whilst mending an icy roof in winter, Brother Halulin falls and sustains grave injuries. He makes a startling deathbed confession, but Haluin does not die. When he recovers he sets out on a journey of expiation with Brother Cadfael.
This copy is in good condition. It has a little shelf wear, light reading creases and a small tear at the bottom of the back page. The binding is sound and there are no loose or missing pages or inscriptions.
