Description
A paperback book in good condition. Ngaio Marsh is a very well respected crime writer from New Zealand whose passion was the theatre. As a result many of her books have theatrical settings. In this story, cyanide is slipped into a glass of sacred wine of ecstasy, at the House of the Sacred Flame. The inititiates may claim to be above earthly passions, but Chief Inspector Alleyn suspects otherwise. Marsh’s writing is very fine and her characterisation is excellent, making this a must for any crime collection.
