Inspector Alleyn is on the trail of a society blackmailer and brings in help in the form of Lord ‘Bunchy’ Gospell. When a body is found, Alleyn finds that blackmail can turn to murder. Marsh’s writing is very fine and her characterisation is excellent, making this a must for any crime collection.
There is very little shelf wear and no reading creases. There is an inscription on the first inside page. The binding is sound and there are no loose or missing pages.
