Description
A paperback book in very good condition. Ngaio Marsh is a very well respected crime writer from New Zealand whose passion was the theatre. As a result many of her books have theatrical settings. In this story a Harley Street surgeon is nervously about to perform an emergency operation on the Home Secretary. Unfortunately, the surgeon and his nurse both have very good personal reasons for wanting their patient dead. The operation is a success, but the patient dies. Marsh’s writing is very fine and her characterisation is excellent, making this a must for any crime collection.
