A paperback book in very good condition. Ngaio Marsh is a very well respected crime writer from New Zealand whose passion was the theatre. As a result many of her books have theatrical settings. In this story a Harley Street surgeon is nervously about to perform an emergency operation on the Home Secretary. Unfortunately, the surgeon and his nurse both have very good personal reasons for wanting their patient dead. The operation is a success, but the patient dies.  Marsh’s writing is very fine and her characterisation is excellent, making this a must for any crime collection.

Condition of book:

The book is in very good condition. There is hardly any shelf wear and no reading creases on the spine. There is a crossed out signature on the first inside page. The binding is sound and there are no loose or missing pages.
