Description
A paperback book in very good condition. Ngaio Marsh is a very well respected crime writer from New Zealand whose passion was the theatre. As a result many of her books have theatrical settings. In this story, New Zealand theatre manager Alfred wants to celebrate his wife’s birthday and devises a plan for a jeroboam of champagne to descent onto the table. But something goes horribly wrong. Marsh’s writing is very fine and her characterisation is excellent, making this a must for any crime collection.
